Debugging Your Plug-ins with the Plug-in Trace Log, Dynamics CRM Enable Plugin Trace Log, Dynamics CRM Trace Log, Dynamics CRM Tracing, Plug-In Trace Log
Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Plugin Trace Log in Dynamics CRM 2016. In this blog article we will see how to enable Plugin Trace Log or Tracing to debug a plugin in Dynamics CRM. The following steps we have to follow in order to enable Plugin Trace Log in Dynamics CRM.
Please note, enable Plugin Trace Log only if you are debugging a plugin otherwise disable this option to unnecessary create Trace Log records.
- Navigate to Settings -> Administrator (refer Fig. 1)

- Click on the “System Settings” option on the Administrator page (refer Fig. 2)

- On the “System Settings” window, select on the “Customization” tab.
- Under “Plug-in and custom workflow activity tracing” choose “All” from the drop down option and click on OK (refer. 3)
